Changing Default Cropping Behavior

You can produce uncropped output using any printer driver, but for exporting, it depends on the file format used. The table below summarizes the default behavior and indicates in which cases it can be changed.

* Windows drivers only support uncropped output when you print to a file.

** The TIFF preview image of an EPS file does not honor the cropped setting; only the EPS file itself honors the setting. For information about TIFF previews, see EPS Files.

Note    The default output figure size of 8-by-6 inches reflects the figure size with an uncropped background. The background size of the default cropped figure is a little smaller. In either case, the size of the axes object is the same.
