Default Settings for Colored Lines and Text

Note    When you use a MATLAB Windows driver, the result may not be the same as that shown in the table because some printers do not return correct color information. Use the Preferences dialog box to correct this problem. See Correcting Color Results with Windows Drivers.

Specifying Printed Color of Colored Lines and Text

To specify how colored lines and text are printed, use one of the following:

• The Lines and Text tab of the Page Setup dialog box.
• A color or black-and-white printer driver, depending on what kinds of results you want. Use the "Line Color Setting for Printing" column of the table above to guide your decision. To set the driver, use one of the following:
• The print command with the appropriate printer driver switch. See Using the print Command to Specify a Driver for detailed instructions.
• On UNIX, you can use the print command or select a MATLAB printer driver from the Print dialog box. See Using the Print Dialog Box to Specify a Driver (UNIX only) for detailed instructions.

Using Page Setup

1. Select Page Setup from the figure window's File menu.
2. Open the Lines and Text tab.
3. Select Black and white to force colored lines and text to print in black and white, or select Color (don't convert) to print them in color on a color printer or in grayscale on a black and white printer.
4. Click OK to save this setting with the figure.
