Presented at the OSA/ILS-X ANNUAL MEETING, October, 1994
Degenerate four-wave mixing experiments are being performed in semiconductor materials, particularly, CdTe, ZnTe, and GaAs, to investigate the quantum-noise properties of the various interacting beams. Experimental results on gain measurements of the transmitted probe beam and direct-detection noise correlation between the transmitted probe and reflected conjugate beams are presented.
