I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (EECS) in the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science at Northwestern University.  My research is in the area of communications, information theory and networking.

Current research projects include:

• the capacity and optimal design of mobile ad hoc networks; (I participate in the IT-MANET project.)
• fundamental relationships of information theory and estimation theory;
• the application of statistical physics methodologies and random matrix theory in communication problems.

The undergraduate and graduate degree programs in EECS at Northwestern rank prestigiously in the U.S.  Those interested in studying at Northwestern are encouraged to apply through the undergraduate or graduate office.  The EECS Department resides on the main campus of Northwestern, in Evanston, Illinois.  The campus (birdview) is on the shore of Lake Michigan.  It is half an hour to the center of metropolitan Chicago (google map) by car or by train.  It is a superb place for studying and living.
