Short Biography
I was born and raised in Honolulu, HI. As a youngster, I attended Central Union Preschool and spent less than a year at Nuuanu Elementary School. I transferred to Punahou School in the middle of kindergarten and continued there throughout high school. After high school, I went to Evanston, Illinois to study computer engineering at Northwestern University. In order to pursue my research interests in parallel computing, I entered graduate school at Northwestern University under Professor Alok Choudhary. I defended my Ph.D in computing engineering on October 5th, 2007 and officially graduated in December 2007.
