CHAIRMAN'S COLUMN Today marks Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. All classes between 11:00 and 2:00 are dismissed so that students, faculty, and staff can participate in events on campus honoring Dr. King.
-Abe Haddad PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES/AWARDS/HONORS Aggelos Katsaggelos was reappointed for a three-year term beginning January 1, 2005, to the Editorial Board of the IEEE Proceedings. TRAVEL Prem Kumar traveled to Arlington, VA, January 9-11, for NSF: Engineering Research Centers (ERC) Electronic, Microwave & Optical Engineered Systems (ERC05EMO1) Panel Meeting.
Hai Zhou is traveling to Shanghai, China January 17-22 to attend the
ACM ASP-DAC 05 conference. He will present a few papers and chair two
sessions on the conference. He will also give an invited talk on
retiming algorithms to Fudan University.
