ECE Department Weekly Newsletter February 10-14, 2003

CHAIRMAN'S COLUMN

This week we continue our faculty interviewing season. On Tuesday, Feb. 11, we will interview Aneesh Agarwal who is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science from the University of Maryland. He will present a seminar at 11AM on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Feb. 13, we will interview Milo Martin, a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He will present a seminar at 11AM on Thursday. I invite all faculty and students to attend these seminars (see detailed announcements below).

On Wednesday, Feb. 12, Jill Wright is organizing an International Potluck from 12-2 in the ECE Conference room. You are encouraged to prepare and bring a dish from your country, either a main course, dessert, or beverage, to share with our ECE community. We are preparing tiny pennant flags with your names on them, and you will be able to pin your flag on your home town on the world map.

There is a sign-up sheet in the copy room, L355, taped on the cabinet doors. Please stop by and sign yourself up!
