CHAIRMAN'S COLUMN

I would like to welcome everyone to the Spring quarter, which starts this week. I hope everyone had a great Spring Break last week.

We are coming near the end of our faculty interviewing season. We have interviewed 15 candidates as of last week. We will be interviewing two more candidates, one this week and one next week. On Friday, Feb. 16, the faculty discussed the candidates that we have seen so far and have recommended some candidates for faculty positions in our department to the Dean. The offers will go out next week. As soon as we hear from the candidates, we will let everyone know of the hiring successes this year.

Chairman
