HONORS

ECE students Michael Englert and Edward Wang were honored at the IEEE Chicago Section Awards Banquet Saturday, April 15. Michael received a Scholarship Award and Edward received a Leadership Award.

TRAVEL

Prof. Prith Banerjee visited the Illinois Institute of Technology on Friday, April 21, and gave a Distinguished Lecture.

Prof. Carl Kannewurf is traveling to San Francisco, CA, April 19 - May 1, to attend the Materials Research Society Spring meeting. Session Title: Thermoelectric Materials 2000 -- The Next Generation Materials.

Prof. Valerie Taylor traveled to Pittsburgh, PA, April 19-20, to give an Invited Talk to the College of Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University.

Prof. Bruce Wessels is traveling to San Francisco, CA, April 24-26, to present the paper, "Metal-organic molecular beam epitaxy of MgO on Si" at the Materials Research Society Spring meeting.
