During 1998-99, our department had a Teaching Improvement and Awards Committee consisting of Prof. Randy Freeman, Prof. Wei-Chung Lin, Prof. Peter Scheuermann, and Prof. Martin Plonus (chairman of the committee).
The committee suggested various things over the year to improve the quality of teaching in our department. Last week the committee met and recommended the following awards to our students and faculty.
It is my pleasure to announce these awards in this newsletter. We will present the awards to the recipients at our ECE faculty meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 25, at 11:00 in room L324.
I also wish to thank the Teaching Improvement and Awards Committee and the undergraduate and graduate student body who made the nominations for doing an excellent job in selecting our best students and faculty.
