In this newsletter, I would like to update everyone on the status of the renovation of the undergraduate labs. The new furniture for the labs has arrived. You should all see the new facilities for the labs for ECE B01 (room EG27); B41, B42 (room MG18); and C07, C60 and C98 (room CG50). The furniture for the labs for ECE B70, C08, C81, C06, and C53 will arrive by the Spring quarter. We are planning to order six complete sets of oscilloscopes, function generators, and PCs to be installed in the B41 and B42 labs by the end of the Spring quarter. Experiments are being redesigned for the new labs in these courses by some undergraduates as C99 projects under the direction of Prof. Alan Sahakian. Students will be able to take advantage of the new B41 and B42 labs starting in Fall 1999.
