We had an excellent response in the ECE Web page design competition. I want to thank each one of the entry submitters for taking time from their busy schedules to create their designs.
We have received the following six entries.
The judges will meet on Tuesday Oct. 13, and announce their decision by Wednesday, Oct. 14. The new web page will be in effect by Monday, Oct. 19. You CAN send your comments by email to the judges directly to influence their votes.

Prof. A. K. Katsaggelos was the Technical Program Chair of the IEEE Int. Conf. on Image Processing, Oct. 4-7, Westin Hotel, Chicago, IL. This is the premier conference in Image Processing, supported by the IEEE Signal Processing Society. There were 6 short courses offered, 4 plenary talks given, and 660 papers presented, in oral and poster sessions. The conference proceedings consist of 3 volumes totaling over 3,000 pages. The conference drew 880 attendees. Prof. Katsaggelos had 6 papers presented in the conference. He also received the IEEE Fellow certificate at the conference banquet at the Museum of Science and Industry.
MIT Lincoln Labs will be on campus for recruiting on Nov 3, 1998. An Informational session is scheduled for 5pm in Rm. #2C of Norris Center.
