Printing and Exporting Figures with MATLAB    

Using the Print Dialog Box

To select a printer for the figure you are currently printing:

  1. Select Print from the figure window's File menu. This invokes the Print dialog box.
  2. Select a printer from the Printer list.
  3. Click OK to print the figure.

Using the print Command (UNIX only)

To select a printer for the figure you are currently printing, the syntax is

For example

sends the output to a black-and-white PostScript printer named homer.

Using the Print Setup Dialog Box

To set the default printer for the current MATLAB session

  1. Select Print Setup from the figure window's File menu. This invokes the Print Setup dialog box.
  2. Under Printer, select a new printer from the Name list.
  3. Click OK to make this the new default printer.
