Ying Wu joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in August, 2001. He received his Ph.D. from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2001. He is the recipient of the Robert T. Chien Research Award at UIUC in 2001, and a recipient of the National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER award.

Research Insterests
Computer Vision, Visual Motion Analysis, Intelligent Image/Video Processing and Understanding, Multimedia, Statistical Learning, Graphical Models, Computer Graphics, Animation, Intelligent Human-Computer Interations, Virtual Environments.
