The goals of the Center are to conduct leading-edge, fundamental science and engineering research that will provide a sound technological basis to the technology of parallel and distributed computing.
The specific research areas that will be undertaken at the Center will be all aspects of parallel and distributed computing, namely, parallel architectures, parallel compilers and software, parallel algorithms and applications, parallel and distributed database systems, and parallel I/O systems.
