Changing Your Password

The department uses a web-based system for password changes. Not only is this the most user-friendly method for non-UNIX people, but it also changes passwords on all centrally-supported systems, regardless of OS platform. So, for example, it changes former-ECE passwords, such as delta, Wilkinson Linux and Solaris hosts, faculty Linux and UNIX hosts, as well as all former-CS host passwords, such as on dylan, zappa, t-lab hosts, Wilkinson Windows hosts, Windows domain accounts, and the MSDNAA software website.

To change your password, visit the following site. You will be asked to log in using your EECS credentials.

Note: You must tell your browser to accept what might look like an invalid SSL certificate. Explanation: Due to budget constraints, we are using a "self-signed" certificate--one that we created. It provides encryption, but not server authentication. We hope to have a "valid" certificate installed next fiscal year.

If you have any questions about or problems changing your password, or need to have your password "reset", please contact the IT Staff.
